I. Product Overview
Material Characteristics: Manufactured from high-purity nickel (Ni). Nickel exhibits excellent chemical stability in reducing atmospheres and at room temperature, showing particular resistance to corrosion by alkaline substances.
Physical Properties: High melting point (approximately $1455^\circ C$); possesses good thermal conductivity, ductility, and oxidation resistance.
Appearance: Typically bowl-shaped or cylindrical, equipped with a tight-fitting lid; available in sizes ranging from $30\text{ ml}$ to $100\text{ ml}$ or larger.

II. Applications
Due to their unique resistance to alkalis and high temperatures, nickel crucibles are widely used in the following areas:
*Alkaline fusion and sample decomposition (primary application)
Note: Do not use with acidic fluxes (e.g., sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid), as acids severely corrode nickel.
*Chemical analysis and laboratory testing

III. Usage Precautions & Temperature Control:
The operating temperature for nickel crucibles generally should not exceed $700^\circ C$ (usually kept below $800^\circ C$); otherwise, oxidation occurs readily in air at high temperatures.
Prohibited Substances:
*Strictly avoid using strong acids (especially nitric acid or aqua regia) for cleaning or containment.
*Do not use for melting sulfides; at high temperatures, sulfur reacts with nickel to form low-melting-point nickel sulfide, damaging the crucible.
*Not suitable for prolonged heating of strongly oxidizing melts (other than carbonates).
Heating Method: Typically heated using an electric furnace or gas burner; avoid prolonged direct contact with flames that produce heavy carbon deposits to prevent the metal from becoming brittle.
