Detailed introduction to Tantalum Crucible

A tantalum crucible is a high-temperature, corrosion-resistant container made of high-purity tantalum metal. It possesses an extremely high melting point (approximately 3017℃) and excellent chemical stability, making it suitable for melting high-melting-point metals (such as tungsten, molybdenum, zirconium, hafnium, etc.) and rare earth materials. Under vacuum or an inert atmosphere, tantalum will not chemically react with the material being melted. Tantalum crucibles are also used for acid dissolution, melting, and evaporation of samples, and are particularly suitable for handling strong acids and alkalis.
