5-60ml Titanium rod

TA9 (Ti-0.2Pd, corresponding to US standard Grade 7 / Gr7) is an α-type corrosion-resistant titanium alloy containing trace amounts of palladium (Pd). It was developed specifically to address the problem of pitting and crevice corrosion that easily occurs in industrial pure titanium (TA1/TA2) under reducing acid and high-temperature chloride ion environments. It is a core corrosion-resistant material in the chemical, marine, and nuclear power fields.

Yield Strength: ≥ 250 MPa (Measured 320~450 MPa)

Density: 4.51 g/cm³ (Lightweight)

Corrosion Resistance (Core Advantage)

Mechanism: Pd element accumulates at defects in the surface passivation film (TiO₂), forming a cathode, promoting the self-repair of the passivation film, and providing extremely strong resistance to pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion.

Working Condition Performance:
Boiling 5% hydrochloric acid: Corrosion rate < 0.1 mm/year
60°C 20% sulfuric acid: Corrosion rate < 0.05 mm/year
High-temperature seawater, chlorides, acetic acid: Far exceeds TA2 and 316L stainless steel

Processing Performance
