At room temperature, the tensile curve of titanium Gr1 pipes and tubes has no obvious physical yield phenomenon, which is determined by its creep characteristics. The yield strength of titanium is very close to the tensile strength. The ratio of yield strength (Rp0.2) to tensile strength increases with increasing strength. When the tensile strength is about 400Mpa, the yield ratio is 0.75; when the tensile strength is about 700Mpa, the yield ratio is 0.85. Therefore, the yield ratio of Gr1 is much higher than that of carbon steel and alloy steel of the same strength level.
The mechanical performance of titanium Gr1 pipes and tubes has a great relationship with the deformation rate, that is, titanium is very sensitive to the tensile speed during the tensile test. When the stretching speed increases, the tensile strength increases, and the elongation and reduction of area decrease.
