High-temperature resistant laboratory zirconium crucibles are high-temperature and corrosion-resistant containers made of high-purity metallic zirconium (Zr≥99.2%). They are specially designed for harsh experimental scenarios such as high-temperature melting, chemical analysis, and material synthesis. They can replace platinum crucibles, balancing performance and cost.

I. Core Materials and Performance Material Purity:
Utilizes high-purity zirconium from Baoji, Zr≥99.2%, with extremely low impurity content, avoiding sample contamination. High Temperature Resistance: Melting point 1852°C, maximum long-term operating temperature 1800°C, short-term withstand 1850°C, far exceeding ordinary ceramic crucibles. Corrosion Resistance: Resistant to strong acids, strong alkalis, molten alkali metals, and peroxides (such as sodium peroxide), exhibiting excellent chemical stability. Thermal Stability: Moderate thermal conductivity, low coefficient of thermal expansion, strong thermal shock resistance, and resistant to cracking under repeated temperature fluctuations. Mechanical Properties: Density approximately 6.52g/cm³, high strength, resistant to deformation, smooth surface (Ra≤0.2μm), easy to clean. II. Common Specifications and Customization Standard Sizes: Diameter 10–700mm, Height 25–900mm, Wall Thickness 3–30mm, with/without lid optional. Shapes: Cylindrical, conical, square, etc., non-standard customization supported, tolerance up to ±0.1mm.

III. Typical Application Scenarios
Geology/Metallurgy: Ore melting, precious metal (gold, silver, platinum group metals) smelting and purification.
Chemical Analysis: Alkali fusion sample digestion, high-temperature titration, trace element analysis.
Materials R&D: High-temperature sintering, alloy smelting, preparation of active metals (titanium, zirconium, niobium).
Nuclear Industry/Special Experiments: High-radioactivity sample processing, high-purity material synthesis.
IV. Advantages Comparison
Comparison with alumina/zirconia ceramic crucibles: Zirconia crucibles have stronger corrosion resistance, are less likely to react with strong alkaline fluxes, and have better thermal shock resistance.
Comparison with platinum crucibles: Lower cost, better resistance to sodium peroxide corrosion, suitable for high-frequency, high-intensity experiments.
