The 30mL nuclear-grade high-purity zirconium crucible is a premium laboratory vessel designed for extreme chemical processing, high-temperature alkali fusion, and trace analysis. Precision-machined from high-purity, unalloyed nuclear-grade zirconium (UNS R60001), it features exceptionally low impurity levels—including strictly controlled hafnium (Hf) content—and offers outstanding resistance to corrosion from strong acids and alkalis.
Capacity: 5–50 ml (custom fabrication based on drawings available)
Types: Low-rim, flanged, straight-walled, tapered-walled, and cylindrical zirconium crucibles
Surface finish: Bright
Wall thickness: 1 mm, 2 mm, or customizable
Service life: Crucibles with a 2 mm wall thickness offer a longer service life than thin-walled versions and can be reused over 100 times.
Features: The mouth diameter is larger than the base diameter, featuring an inclination angle of approximately 15°; it is ideally suited for the alkali fusion method and for pouring solid samples.

IV. Usage and Maintenance Recommendations
⚠️ Important Precautions:
Strictly avoid contact with hydrofluoric acid (HF): Zirconium dissolves rapidly in hydrofluoric acid; HF at any concentration—or any acidic solution containing fluoride—will cause catastrophic corrosion to the crucible.
Avoid excessive overheating in air: Heating in air above 650°C accelerates surface oxidation. To extend the crucible's service life, it is recommended to limit the duration of high-temperature heating during alkali fusion or to use the crucible under a protective atmosphere.
Cleaning methods: After sample fusion, cleaning by soaking in dilute hydrochloric acid, dilute nitric acid, or boiling water is recommended. Never use hard metal brushes or abrasive materials to scrape the inner walls, as this could damage the dense, natural protective layer of zirconium dioxide (ZrO₂).
