Product Introduction

​​​​​​​R60804 bars are primarily manufactured through multiple melting processes in a high-purity vacuum arc remelting (VAR) furnace, followed by forging, hot rolling/cold rolling, and precise annealing heat treatment. Their purity, microstructure uniformity, and dimensional accuracy must meet extremely stringent nuclear safety standards. It is a nuclear-grade zirconium alloy specifically developed to cope with the extremely harsh environment inside nuclear reactors. Compared to its predecessor, Zircaloy-2 (R60802), R60804 completely removes nickel (Ni) and appropriately increases the iron (Fe) content. This modification significantly reduces the hydrogen uptake rate of the material under specific reactor conditions, thereby significantly extending its in-reactor lifespan.
