BT3-1 titanium alloy rods are a+β type two-phase thermally strong titanium alloy of Ti-AI-Mo-Cr-Fe-Si system with the nominal composition of Ti-6AI-1 .5Cr-2.5Mo-0.5Fe-0.3Si. They can work for a long time at 400°C~450 . It can work for a long time at 400°C~450°C and is mainly used for aero-engine blades, rotating parts and fasteners. The alloy not only has good thermal processing properties, but also has a more desirable comprehensive mechanical properties. Therefore, it is widely used in the former Soviet Union aero-engine.
Ingot production process is as follows: batching > press electrode block → group welding electrode → - secondary melting + secondary melting → tertiary melting → skinning > flaw detection → sampling → sawing cap mouth. In the third melting, the electrode welding is carried out in the furnace. The third melting is carried out at the later stage of shrinkage.
Step rolling process of titanium alloy bar: Ingot acceptance - + heating > forging > sawing + bar billet skinning, flattening and polishing > heating → step rolling → sawing → polishing + inspection > packaging into storage.
In order to meet the needs of China's aviation industry, 8100 kg of BT3-1 titanium alloy rods with diameters of 160 mm, 36 mm, 32 mm, 28 mm, 25 mm and 16 mm have been produced on a trial basis, and their properties have met the requirements of Russian aviation blade rods standard OCT190006-86, and have successfully passed the quality evaluation and installation test.
