R60001 is nuclear-grade high-purity industrial-grade zirconium that meets US UNS standards. Zirconium crucibles, these high-purity, low-hafnium zirconium crucibles, are manufactured using precision stamping or spinning processes. They are primarily used for high-temperature melting and sample pretreatment in laboratories.

I. Key Features of the R60001 35ml Zirconium Crucible
Extremely High Purity and Chemical Corrosion Resistance: As nuclear-grade pure zirconium, R60001 has extremely low impurity content (especially hafnium, iron, chromium, etc.). This gives it exceptional resistance to extremely vigorous chemical reactions and makes it virtually insoluble in most acids and alkalis.
An Excellent Tool for Alkaline Melting: In laboratory sample analysis, the most significant advantage of zirconium crucibles is their resistance to high-temperature melting of alkaline fluxes such as sodium peroxide, sodium hydroxide, and sodium carbonate. When handling these fluxes, their durability is more than 20 times that of nickel crucibles, and they do not introduce metallic impurities such as nickel and iron that interfere with the analysis.
Excellent Economic Substitute (Compared to Platinum): Platinum crucibles are extremely expensive and easily damaged by poisoning from reducing metals (such as lead, antimony, bismuth). Zirconium crucibles are not only much cheaper than platinum, but also do not require special platinum clamps during use and will not crack even with sudden heating or cooling. Excellent thermal shock resistance: The 35ml zirconium crucible (with a wall thickness typically around 2mm) possesses good thermal conductivity and structural strength, capable of withstanding high-temperature heating from Bunsen burners and muffle furnaces, as well as quenching and cooling.
Operating temperature limitations: Under reducing atmosphere or inert gas protection, it can withstand temperatures up to 900°C; however, prolonged exposure to air will cause the surface to slowly oxidize above approximately 550°C, forming a zirconium dioxide (ZrO₂) protective film.
