Zr-4/R60804 Bar Product Introduction

Zr-4 (Zircaloy-4) is an ultra-high purity zirconium-tin alloy specifically designed for the core areas of the nuclear industry. In nuclear fuel assemblies, it primarily appears in the form of precision rods, used for machining fuel rod end plugs, structural components of the core positioning grid, and connectors for control rod drive mechanisms. It is also a core high-end metallic structural material designed specifically for pressurized water reactors (PWRs) and heavy water reactors (CANDUs). As an upgraded and improved version of Zr-2, its most significant feature is the complete resolution of the severe hydrogen absorption problem under specific water quality environments through composition optimization via "nickel removal and iron addition."
