2. Material Composition (ASTM B550 Standard)
Industrial pure zirconium, no artificial alloying elements, naturally containing hafnium:

Zr+Hf ≥99.2%, Hf≤4.5%

Fe+Cr≤0.20%, O≤0.16%, N≤0.025%, C≤0.05%, H≤0.005%

3. High-Precision Zirconium Rod Process and Precision Advantages
Ordinary zirconium rods are hot-rolled black-skinned / Standard cold drawing; High-precision zirconium bars are produced using the following process: vacuum arc melting → forging → multi-pass cold drawing → stress-relief annealing → centerless precision grinding → polishing.
Dimensional tolerances: Diameter tolerance h6/h7 precision grade, straightness ≤0.5mm/m, roundness and coaxiality strictly controlled;
Surface quality: Ra0.2～1.6μm mirror/bright surface, free from peeling, cracks, oxide scale, and inclusions;
Microstructure: Recrystallized annealed state, internal stress fully released, less prone to deformation and chipping during machining;
Non-destructive testing: Full-range UT ultrasonic testing, meeting ASTM E213, free from internal defects;
Specifications: φ1mm～φ300mm round bars, square bars, hexagonal bars, and cut to length can be customized.

4. Core Physicochemical Properties

Corrosion Resistance (Greatest Advantage): A dense ZrO₂ passivation film spontaneously forms on the surface, exhibiting strong self-healing ability; resistant to boiling hydrochloric acid, dilute sulfuric acid, acetic acid, wet chlorine, strong alkalis, seawater, and chlorides, with a corrosion rate far superior to 316L, titanium, and Hastelloy; not resistant to hydrofluoric acid and free fluoride ions.

Mechanical Properties (Annealed State): Tensile strength ≥379MPa, yield strength ≥205MPa, elongation ≥16%, excellent plasticity, easy to machine, bend, and argon arc weld.

Physical Parameters: Density 6.51g/cm³, melting point 1852℃, extremely low thermal neutron absorption cross section, non-magnetic, excellent biocompatibility.
