R60702 is an industrial-grade pure zirconium, conforming to the American standard ASTM B550/B550M (or ASME SB-550). When heated in air, a dense and highly protective oxide film ($ZrO₂) rapidly forms on its surface. This "passivation film" gives it near-perfect resistance to chemical corrosion.
