Zirconium 705 Rod Description

Zirconium 705 (Zr705) is alloyed with Niobium 2.0% to 3.0%. When corrosion conditions permit, Zr 705 rod is more economical to be used as shell for pressure vessel construction, because its higher strength makes thinner wall thickness design allowable, which can greatly reduce the material consumption. Zr705 has higher formability than Zr702 because it is easier to press into shape in the processing due to its high tensile strength.
