705 zirconium tube low thermal neutron absorption, the best use of zirconium alloy tube is as a structural material for nuclear reactors. Because zirconium has a lower absorption of neutrons than most metals, it is the material of choice for increasing reactor efficiency. However, in this application, low hafnium grades are used in the reactor. The most commonly used alloys are: Zr-702 and Zr-704, which have excellent corrosion resistance and good yield stress to high steam temperatures.

For heat exchangers, coolers and condensers

705 zirconium tube is increasingly used because it is more cost-effective than other materials due to its longer service life, lower maintenance and downtime, and higher process efficiency. Zirconium is replacing many graphite heat exchangers due to its excellent heat transfer properties and durability. Since zirconium alloy is inherently resistant to corrosion due to its inert oxide layer, it can play a huge advantage in condensers.

Used for pipes

705 zirconium tubes are used in urea, acetic acid, formic acid, nitric acid and methyl methacrylate production systems.
