Product Overview

Due to its exceptionally high strength and superior corrosion resistance, 705 zirconium wire (UNS R60705, a zirconium-niobium alloy wire containing 2.0%–3.0% niobium) is widely used in industry for high-performance welding materials (such as AWS A5.24 ERZr-4 standard welding wire), corrosion-resistant springs, woven filter components, and structural parts for electronic vacuum devices.

Common diameters: Φ0.8mm, Φ1.2mm, Φ1.6mm

R60705, commercially known as Zr705, is a zirconium-niobium alloy containing 2.0%–3.0% niobium. Fabricated to ASTM B550 and GB/T 8769 specifications, it features robust mechanical strength, superior corrosion resistance, dependable thermal stability and excellent weldability.

Widely utilized in chemical processing, nuclear power, precision machinery, medical devices and aerospace systems, R60705 is the premium choice for harsh service conditions with strong acids, strong alkalis and elevated temperatures.

Common supply conditions and surface finishes:
M-state (Annealed/Soft): Used for most welding wires and braiding wires; offers good flexibility and high elongation ($\ge 16\%$), facilitating wire feeding or braiding processes.
Y-state (Cold-worked/Hard or Half-hard): Suitable for manufacturing corrosion-resistant springs, high-rigidity support pins, or specific mechanical structural components.
Surface conditions: Pickled surface: Oxide scale removed; the most common finish for welding wire, ensuring the weld is free from impurity contamination.
Polished surface: Features an extremely smooth finish; commonly used in precision electronics or applications requiring superior aesthetic quality.
