UNS R60705 Zirconium Wire Description

Zirconium alloy wire is a wire material made by adding alloying elements such as tin, iron, and chromium to zirconium (Zr) as the base, and then smelting, hot rolling, cold drawing and annealing. The diameter is usually 0.05–10 mm, and the common forms are straight wire or coiled wire.

R60705, commercially known as Zr705, is a zirconium-niobium alloy containing 2.0%–3.0% niobium. Fabricated to ASTM B550 and GB/T 8769 specifications, it features robust mechanical strength, superior corrosion resistance, dependable thermal stability and excellent weldability.

Widely utilized in chemical processing, nuclear power, precision machinery, medical devices and aerospace systems, R60705 is the premium choice for harsh service conditions with strong acids, strong alkalis and elevated temperatures.
