R60702 1mm zirconium plate (commonly referred to as Zr702, or commercially pure zirconium plate, and compliant with standards such as ASTM B551) is a high-quality, corrosion-resistant metal sheet based on metallic zirconium, containing only trace amounts of alloying elements or impurities. Its 1mm thickness offers an optimal balance of exceptional corrosion resistance and favorable cold-working, forming, and welding characteristics.

Material Definition: R60702 is classified as commercially pure zirconium, with a zirconium (plus trace hafnium) content typically exceeding 99.2%, and a hafnium (Hf) content controlled at below 4.5%.

Form and Specifications: The 1mm-thick zirconium plate is generally produced through processes including hot rolling, cold rolling, annealing, and pickling. It features a silver-gray metallic luster and can be processed via shearing, laser cutting, or stamping according to specific requirements.

Applicable Standards: It typically conforms to ASTM B551 / ASME SB551 (Standard Specification for Zirconium and Zirconium Alloy Plate, Sheet, and Strip).

II. Product Characteristics
1. Excellent Corrosion Resistance
**R60702 zirconium plate exhibits outstanding corrosion resistance in the vast majority of organic and inorganic acids (such as nitric, hydrochloric, sulfuric, and acetic acids), strong alkalis, and various salt solutions.
**Its corrosion resistance stems from its ability to rapidly form a dense, highly adherent, and self-healing protective film of zirconium oxide ($ZrO_2$) on its surface.
**Note: Zirconium is not resistant to hydrofluoric acid, concentrated phosphoric acid, or hot, concentrated sulfuric acid.
2. Good Machinability and Formability
**With an elongation of $\ge 16\%$ at room temperature, 2mm-thick zirconium plate possesses excellent plasticity, making it highly suitable for shearing, stamping, bending, and cold-forming processes.
**It has good weldability; however, because zirconium readily absorbs oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen at high temperatures—which causes embrittlement—it must be fully shielded with high-purity argon gas during welding (typically using Tungsten Inert Gas, or TIG, welding).
3. Physical and Thermodynamic Properties
**It has a density of approximately $6.51\ g/cm^3$—lighter than steel—while maintaining moderate strength (tensile strength $\ge 380\text{ MPa}$).
**It features a low coefficient of thermal expansion and excellent dimensional stability.
